Natural Healing Factors
About the Descriptions of Treatments
The descriptions of the treatments function as an educational knowledge base, broadly outlining the mechanisms of action of each type of treatment, the description of the treatment process, the main indications for which it plays a role in healing and/or prevention, as well as the main contraindications in cases where the specific type of treatment is generally not recommended.
Please note that the indications and contraindications are for informational purposes only, and are not exhaustive, nor do they replace or substitute for a medical examination! The compilation of treatment types for patients is done by a specialist based on a comprehensive assessment of the patient's health condition to facilitate the patient's prompt and as long-lasting improvement and recovery as possible, while minimizing any potential risks.
Balneology (bath therapy) is a branch of science dealing with the effects of thermal waters, which means the medical use of natural mineral waters, mud, and naturally occurring gases for prevention, therapy, or rehabilitation purposes. In addition to the physical properties of the water, the absorption of minerals dissolved in the water through the skin may also play a role in its mechanism of action. The methods of using balneotherapy include: bathing, drinking cures, and inhalation.
Our spa bases its healing on medically certified healing water, accessible in the form of bathing.
Spa bathing has a holistic effect on the entire body, and thus, the general health condition of the patient should be taken into account when assessing it. As a general guideline, we inform you that in the cases listed below - if a thorough patient examination reveals it - spa treatment is generally not recommended:
